And I'm pretty sure that arsenic was used in makeup during the time of Queen Elizabeth I. One of my science professors suggested that such toxic cosmetics may have contributed to Elizabeth's death as well.
That is so interesting! Isn't it true that Arsenic was also found in make-up during that time, or was Austen after that, chronologically?
