For most of the book, pride prevents Darcy from having what he most desires. Why is he so proud? How does Elizabeth show her pride? Why were such things relevant at the time this book was written?
A lot of the plot points are filled in or resolved through letters. Why is this? Why can't these things be resolved face-to-face? How would that change things?
