2. Shoba's game was to build up courage to tell her husband she was leaving. Why did she allow herself to be intimate with him if she knew she was going to tell him she was leaving?
In response to question 2, I asked myself the same question when I read that. I think maybe she allowed herself to be intimate with him becuase it was her last ditch effort to see if she still felt there was anything between them from her standpoint. She may have also let herself be intimate with him because she realized once she told him her plans it would be the last time she would have the opportunity to be intimate with him.
