Which character had the most difficult life? Why?

How do you think Oscar's life would have turned out had he lived?

Was there a significance in the thugs asking Oscar the English word for fuego before the killed him?

    I just thought it was kind of symbolic that the thugs had Oscar say fire. It was a very unique way of implying that Oscar was responsible for his own death.

      That interpretation is very intruiging, if not exactly happy. He caused his own death because he simply didn't think.
